> Downhill Skiing and snowboarding

Located less than 90 minutes from Montreal, the village of Saint-Donat is nestled in the heart of the Laurentian mountains and enjoys exceptional snow conditions throughout the winter season. Head down the slopes and enjoy a breathtaking view from the summit of two mountains designed for skiing and snowboarding. Catering services, equipment rental and training programs usually offered in our ski station must adapt to the health regulations in place. The purchase of daily tickets can be made online. To properly prepare for your outing, it is strongly recommended that you consult the ski station websites.

Ski Garceau

Hit the slopes of the highest peak in Lanaudière at the Ski Garceau center. For 55 years, the resort has been the ideal landmark for a most successful family outing! You will appreciate the warm welcome that has remained intact over the generations. The 100-acre ski area offers 35 trails for all levels, including two snow parks, two school slopes and a field-based learning area. Alpine hikers are delighted to explore the mountain with specialized equipment.

Ski La Réserve

Ski La Réserve offers a skiing experience that will charm skiers and snowboarders, beginners and experts alike. At a height of 305 metres, the mountain also offers tubing and snowshoe trails. Seasoned skiers will certainly be captivated by the incomparable experience of nature, without a ski lift and offering an incomparable off-piste skiing experience. > Cross-country skiing and Snowshoeing

The Saint-Donat region offers a vast network of trails for cross-country skiing, ski touring, telemark and Snowshoeing. Exceptional snowfall in certain sectors such as Montagne Noire is sought after by avid thrill-skiers. Snowshoeing is becoming increasingly popular because of its accessibility for the entire family and especially the well-being that is obtained by walking through the forest safely and at your own pace. The Saint-Donat region offers various trails for all levels: from a short hike of under an hour to a whole day or even a stay of a few days, enthusiasts will be delighted. The Ondago mobile app can be downloaded for free on a smartphone.

Parc des Pionniers

Parc des Pionniers offers 5 mechanically maintained trails for cross-country skiing as well as a 3.3 km trail for snowshoeing.

Mont-Tremblant National Park

The beauty of the landscapes and the grandiose panoramas inserted in this immense protected territory will remain engraved in the memories. The Pimbina sector has a magnificent network of trails for Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and Fatbiking. La Chute-aux-Rats remains a must.

> Ice skating

Outside

Skaters will be delighted to walk the 1.3-kilometre icy trail in the middle of the forest in the Parc des Pionniers. The park also offers an ice rink set up for playing hockey. Ample parking. Free access.

Inside

The Paul-Mathieu Civic Center is open from the end of October until the beginning of April. Time slots are reserved for free skating. It is also possible to rent the arena for the exclusive use of a family at a very affordable hourly rate.

Recover your child’s heart as you hurtle down the tube slides! Three slides and a comfortable and pleasant ascent on the carpet. The minimum age of 3 years for sliding and wearing a helmet is strongly recommended. Free for members and with the purchase of a daily ski ticket.

Fatbike Trails

Cyclists can now practise their favourite activity all year round. Indeed, oversized tires bikes or fat bikes are more and more popular and allow to circulate in the forest. More than 30 kilometres of paths are available within the territory.

> Snowmobile and ATV

Snowmobilers and quad riders have access to exceptional sites. The trails are developed and maintained by clubs made up of passionate and committed volunteers. Among the must-see places, the viewpoint erected at the top of the Montagne Noire attracts hundreds of snowmobilers.
